New England’s Winter

Between 2021-2023, I spent three years travelling extensively throughout New England to film birds that come and winter in the region. This short documentary showcases several key species that define New England’s winter avian landscape: Snowy Owl, Red-breasted Merganser, American Oystercatcher, and Piping Plover. Through this film, I strive to unveil the intricate ornithological dynamics behind these migranting species and capture the beauty of these birds in their winter habitats.

This film marks my debut in nature documentary filmmaking, a first step toward fulfilling my dream of becoming a wildlife filmmaker. I am eager to further explore this genre in future projects. I took on all aspects of this film's production myself, including cinematography, scriptwriting, editing, and selecting the background music.

(Regrettably, the film's narration is currently available only in Chinese. Expect an English version soon.)
